My name is Inga and I am the passionate photographer behind Malinka Photography, located in Toronto. Malinka means a small/little raspberry in Russian, and it was my nickname when I was a child and one of my favorite berries! This name reflects the two major themes of my photography, which are children and food.
In 2013, I completed a digital media certificate at OCAD University in Toronto, which gave me a good start with Photoshop and other editing software. I fell in love with food photography quickly and started to make images for cooking books, food blogs, and advertising. I sell a number of these photographs on stock photography websites. Learning food styling and arranging yummy food and props for photo shoots is a lot of fun.
Everything changed after my daughter was born! I wanted to capture every single moment of my little one. I had to learn to photograph again! It is easier to work with static pancakes on my plate rather then to capture the fast changing emotions and cute expressions of kiddos' faces. A great image gives me a lot of joy and happiness.
I love to work with families and to see the connection, emotions, and joy. I believe that photography does not only create memories, but also helps to create deeper relationships among family members. Viewing family pictures will help children to identify themselves, to understand who they are and where they are from.
I create bright, emotional, and colorful memories for you to enjoy today, and to appreciate in twenty years. Please review my on-line portfolio. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. ))
P.S. I love my grandpa's vintage film camera but your pictures will be taken with a Nikon camera!
